Addicted to Learning
For almost a week I'd been doing daily challenges in a drawing app, and it had been going great.
One day I tried to draw a cartoon figure of a man, following instructions from a cartooning book. Every time before, I couldn't grasp conceptually how ovals would translate into finished cartoons, but this time it clicked in my brain. Once you get good enough, you should be able to conceptualize the starting oval structure of any character, and the ovals provide proportions before committing to actual details.
As an aside, I love the feeling in my brain when you practice something and it finally clicks — the brain almost relaxes in satisfaction. The dopamine hit is always the best as well.
I might be addicted to learning.
